The upgrade follows successful implementation of Visual Defence’s state-of-the-art IP-based surveillance infrastructure and solutions to enhance Ottawa Airport’s security. Visual Defence has been working with the Ottawa International Airport Authority (OIAA) since the start of their project to implement a campus wide CCTV system that enables any camera to be viewed and controlled from any monitoring station throughout the Airport via a Gigabit Ethernet infrastructure. The comprehensive offering includes video surveillance (live and recorded), public address, intercom and integration with access control and intrusion detection.
The Digital Security Solution upgrade matches the OIAA’s mandate of providing a safe, worldclass facility that integrates proven technologies and processes. The upgrade includes newly deployed features within the Virtual Matrix System (VMS) including an advanced VMS SoftClient with Mapping and integration into key subsystems including access control and intercom.
